Example Themes

Each class little dancers will travel on a dance adventure through a different theme, place or country each week!  So grab your passports and join us on our next dance adventure! 

Let us use our imagination to think of all the super powers that we can use to help people! In this class we will learn about the different kinds of super heroes in the world and more importantly, that we all have the power to do something special or kind for others.

We bring along special costumes for dancers to wear whilst we learn and perform a superhero dance!

In this class hygiene heroes will learn all about killing germs and learning how to prevent ourselves from becoming sick! We will explore when and why we should wash our hands, brush our teeth and wash our hair

Zoom, zoom! We’re going to the moon! Today we are going to be space explorers and we are going to go on a space adventure! In this lesson we will use the idea of astronauts to explore the concept of place. When we explore the concept of PLACE, we discover our Kinesphere (Bubble of personal space). We explore the ways our bodies can move by staying in one spot as well as moving all around in the shared space. This lesson builds spatial awareness, room and spatial orientation, locomotor movements and body part isolation aswell as awareness of our space and how to move through it without running into our friends. We also work on developing our impulse control by being aware of our surroundings and moving into the empty spaces.

In this dance adventure we with play and learn through actions and discussions about  cold and heat. We will act out what it would feel like to be FREEZING cold vs normal temperature!

In this lesson we will learn about spatial awareness through discussions about our personal bubbles. We can dance and move in our spot and all around, be careful not to move too close to anyone or, POP! Your bubble will burst!

In this class dancers will learn about the five senses – sight, sound, taste, smell and touch! We will explore these five sense through role play, movement and music! Dancers will use music to move their bodies in lots of different fun ways!

This class strikes the perfect balance between high energy fun and problem solving game time.

Ahoy! Let’s set sail in search of treasure! In this session we will dress up in our own pirate costumes and learn to talk like pirates! We will learn fancy pirate poses and sail away on a treasure hunt! Once we make it to the island we must march through the deep sand, cut down the tall grass, climb over the fallen trees in the forest and then under the fallen rocks to tiptoe through the caves! Once inside we will see what treasure we have found and discuss what treasure we might have at home! This class is SO much fun as we challenge our memory, learn new things and have a great work out on a pirate dance adventure!

In this dance adventure we will learn how to slip, slop and slap to protect ourselves from the sun in the sunscreen song! This song will show us where to put our sunscreen to make sure we don’t get sunburnt! Once we arrive at the beach though we learn about the flags – what they are and how the flags and lifeguards keep us safe! After our sandy adventure we will head down under the sea to an underwater dance party!
